Spiritual direction is joining with another to create intentional time and space to attend to the sacred and divine in one's life. As a spiritual director, I offer a generous listening and witnessing posture, joining you in attuning to the movements of the Spirit as we meet together. While called “direction,” this process is non-directive and allows you to freely explore the sacred movements in your life with the presence of a loving witness.
My intention is to journey with you as you seek to be awake and connected to the presence of the Divine in your life. That will frequently take the form of asking questions, holding silence and occasionally making observations about what you have shared with me. Your relationship with God is your own, and I desire to come alongside that in whatever ways serve you best.

Rhythm
In general, a monthly rhythm works for many people. If something arises and that rhythm doesn’t work for you, we can make other arrangements.
Space
Unless you are local, our sessions will take place on Zoom, in a space where we can both talk and share freely. I will do my best to minimize spouse and child interruptions so that I can be available and present to your spiritual journey. Our time will go best if you are in a place that allows for that as well.
Appointment
Most sessions begin with a small ritual of opening, whether that is lighting a candle, ringing a bell or some other practice that feels good and helpful to us both. Frequently, a period of silence is maintained as we both settle into our time together and transition into cultivating awareness of the Holy. Then, we will turn our time toward whatever you are bringing in that day.
“Doing spiritual direction with TJ this year has been the best investment I've made in my walk with Jesus in years.”
